5 foods ‘Bad’ but those are Good

How many times did you ever give to a food because it is considered a gourmet food ‘bad’? Even if you’re not always aware of everything you eat, sometimes happen to have to make small sacrifices to maintain the line.

But here is some good news: there are some foods that are usually put in the category of bad foods and unfair, but in reality are not that bad and may even make you well. Find out what!

PizzaThe Pizza
The pizza is considered too high in fat and calories, not to mention the carbohydrates, and is often eliminated from the diet. In fact, a pizza is a great meal and is a source of complex carbohydrates, good fats and proteins.

The pizza is better than the vegetables, because carbohydrates and proteins are combined of healthy vegetables and then a series of valuable vitamins and substances for the body. Of course depends on the seasonings: a pizza with salami and sausage is very fatty and contains many more calories, as well as a pizza with four cheeses.

In short, take the whim of the pizza while you are on a diet you can. The ideal meal is represented by a pizza margherita or vegetables (the famous vegetarian pizza) and a glass of water, you can end your meal with slices of fresh pineapple or an apple, which help digest and burn fat.

GelatoThe Gelato
Ice cream is a bit like pizza: you think that is chock full of calories, when in fact it is a particularly good food. First of all, the ice cream is a food with low glycemic index. This means that releases sugars slowly and thus the sense of satiety after eating it lasts longer.

Consequently, a nice ice cream mid-afternoon and not satisfied until dinner makes you want to gorge other calorie snacks. Even here it is important restraint: eat 1 kg of ice cream at once is not good for the body, but a cup of ice cream will be fine as a snack.

Moreover, the ice cream is made with milk and contains beneficial vitamins and calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A, vitamin E, magnesium, milk proteins. The chocolate ice cream is the richest in vitamin A, while the fruit flavors are lighter and contain less calories.

BeerThe Beer
The beer is good? That’s right: according to several studies, a pint of beer would help prevent heart disease such as angina and heart attack, even more than the traditional glass of red wine. This is due to the presence of vitamin B6, which functions as a coenzyme and helps the metabolism and the formation of amino acids.

The lager is also an excellent source of vitamins, minerals and potassium for most is low in sodium, so for people who has kidney problems and help prevent kidney stones. The beer also acts against free radicals and is therefore good for the skin and helps against aging epidermis.

Moderation is essential, however, when it comes to beer: if you exceed a liter of beer a day, the negative effects outweigh the positive ones. Provided you do not drink too much, the beer is an excellent drink – perfect for accompanying the pizza.

ChocolateThe Dark Chocolate
The dark chocolate is a food that contains many antioxidants that fights free radicals, which is why it helps against aging skin and prevent wrinkles.

As the ice cream, dark chocolate has a low glycemic index and release sugars slowly into the body, which is why the chocolate with more than 70% cocoa in it is a great snack to avoid hunger pangs and encourage satiety.

Remember that it is good to take a few squares of chocolate a day (two or three is ideal), because the chocolate also contains fat, so it is very caloric. Avoid weight-loss diets in white chocolate and the milk, which have a higher percentage of cocoa too low to be of benefit.

Peanut ButterThe Peanut Butter
The peanut butter is more popular abroad than in Italy – especially in America and England, where it is consumed in industrial quantities. It is a creamy mixture obtained from peanuts and is often not recommended for the fats it contains.

Surprisingly, however, the peanut butter helps to lower bad cholesterol and prevent cardiovascular disease and all this without damaging the line. Moreover, the peanut butter and prevents the nervous hunger sated. One teaspoon of peanut butter smeared on a slice of whole meal bread is a delicious break during the afternoon to keep hunger at bay.
