Your blusher is the best weapon that you can have when wanting to give your cheeks and face some nice natural looking color and highlighting effects. Your blusher can be one of your greatest assets, especially if you have very pale skin as your blusher can give you more of a healthier natural tint. With blushers the main key to success is to never be too heavy handed when you are applying, as you are just wanting to achieve a nice vibrant looking natural glow and nothing that looks painted on or too thick.

Powder
The powder blusher is probably the most easiest of all blushers to apply and to even be able to get it on correctly without it looking botched. Being in a powder form this type of blusher will give you a nice matte finish and it will work well over the top of brushed powder on your face. With powder blushers, it is a must that you apply it over the top of primed skin and not directly onto your bare skins surface as it will only look blotchy. If you have oily skin, this one is best for you.

Gels and Creams
Gels and creams will glide on to give you a dewy type of effect and are best used on top of a foundation base, but never on top of powder as it will streak your powdered finish and make it look awful. Gel and cream blushers are also really good for use as a daytime wear blusher as their transparency will illuminate your skin and give you a great look. These types of blushers are best for achieving a more glossier effect, but always make sure that you are never too heavy handed at applying as too thickly applied and you’ll look as though you belong in the circus.
