Vitamins are essential for the proper functioning of the body, like minerals and other essential nutrients are substances that must be available at all times. B group vitamins are necessary for producing energy, hormones, enzymes and proteins important for the human body. The vitamin B foods are many, almost all foods contain vitamins B to a greater or lesser extent.

The foods with higher levels of vitamin B are:

Meat, liver and kidney, egg yolk, yeast, legumes and nuts, mushrooms, whole grains, milk, all green vegetables, tuna, salmon, potato, banana, peanuts, chocolate, nuts, lentils, spinach and asparagus. This list of foods has the full range of B vitamins we need.

B vitamins are related to metabolism and are water soluble, meaning that are lost when foods are cooked, and much more if they are boiled for a long time. Of course we can not eat a raw potato but as far as possible we should try to eat the food raw to provide a greater amount of vitamins.

Another feature of the B group vitamins are not stored in the body, must be replaced daily and if there is an excess of vitamins, the excess is eliminated through the urine. This is what normally happens in most people the most common is that they will be exceeded the amounts of vitamin as almost all foods have vitamin B , and usually eat more than you really need.

If we believe we need vitamins because we are weak or sick too often, or perhaps suffer from a metabolic disorder, then we can take vitamin pills, these vitamin supplements are a whole array of vitamins to our dispocicion, but the first thing to do if we think something is wrong is to consult a doctor or a nutritionist.
