Hand RemediesLiquid Hand Soap
Ingredients:

  • 1 bar of dove soap
  • 3 cups of water

Instructions:
Take your bar of dove soap and grate it with a cheese grater, putting the shavings in microwavable bowl. Pour the water over your dove shavings and place in the microwave. Cook it on high for three minutes. Remove the bowl from the microwave and stir it until all soap bits have melted, if needed put back in the microwave for a little extra time. Then let it cool. Pour into pump dispenser packs and any left over into a container with a lid for storage.

Creamy Oats Hand Lotion
Ingredients:

  • 1&½ cups of water soaked oat flour
  • 1&½ cups of baking soda
  • ½ cup juice of sour almonds
  • ½ cup of white wax

Instructions:
In a mixing bowl or jug, combine together all of these ingredients. When all ingredients are thoroughly mixed together. Package them in an airtight container or jar until ready for use.

Lavender Rose Hand Oil
Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of glycerin
  • ½ cup of rose water
  • 1/8 teaspoon lavender oil
  • ¼ teaspoon vitamin E oil

Instructions:
Get yourself a 250 ml sized bottle for your finished hand oil product that you will be using and put all of the ingredients in it together and shake it well until all ingredients are very well combined. Then for the next three days pick it up and shake it a few times a day and it will then be ready for use.

Orange Hand Lotion
Ingredients:

  • 1 oz of warmed olive oil
  • 1 oz of orange juice
  • ½ oz of melted cocoa butter
  • 2 drops of orange flower oil

Instructions:
Put all of these ingredients into a blender and combine until light and fluffy. When all ingredients are thoroughly blended together. Package them in an airtight container or jar until ready for use.

Chamomile Honey Lotion
Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of light sesame oil
  • 3 Tablespoons of grated beeswax
  • 2 Tablespoons of strong chamomile tea
  • 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 Tablespoon of liquid lanolin
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda

Instructions:
Place all of the ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently on the stove top, stirring occasionally, until all of the ingredients have melted together. Do not let your mixture get to boiling point. Then pour the mixture into a container or jar and allow it to cool off completely before use.

Dry, Sore Skin Lotion
Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup of almond oil
  • 1/3 cup of cocoa butter
  • 1 teaspoon of lanolin
  • ½ oz of grated beeswax
  • 2/3 cup of rose water
  • 1/3 cup of aloe vera gel
  • 2 drops of rose oil
  • 1 vitamin E capsule

Instructions:
Melt the almond oil, cocoa butter, lanolin and beeswax over a low heat on the stove top. When all ingredients are melted and combined, set it aside to cool down to room temperature. While your ingredients are cooling down, get a jug and put in it, your rose water, aloe vera gel, rose oil and the entire contents of the vitamin E capsule (just split the E capsule with a sharp knife or cut the top off it and then squeeze the liquid out into your mixing jug).

When all these ingredients are well combined ,add them to the ingredients from the first mixture and whip them all together until their consistency resembles a butter cream frosting. Then store the mixture in an airtight container or jar until you are ready to use your new hand cream.
