Lipstick is an essential part of any woman’s wardrobe, a today’s woman would not leave home without it, as lipstick can reflect your moods as well as, be color co-ordinated to suit the clothes you are wearing. Also the lipsticks on the market today are more advanced than in the past and are widely available in many different varieties and colors. As well as having longer staying power, the modern day lipsticks are now also more moisturizing to your lips then ever before. Lipstick has UV protection built into a lot of lipsticks these days, so be sure to make sure your purchase decision is not only going to look good on when it’s applied, but also make sure that it will protect your lips from the damaging rays of the sun as well.
Gloss
Gloss lipsticks are designed to give a great glossy shine to your lips and to keep them feeling moist. You will have to be prepared when using the lip glosses for lots and lots of touch ups as the glosses tend to kiss off too easily so always carry your gloss around with you when you are wearing it as a lip cover. They are more of a fun type of lip cover and a great one for a shimmer look which both blend in very well with the summer fun season, but do make sure that you wear your spf factor chap stick or lipstick coating underneath your gloss cover as glosses tend to be lacking in any sun protection. Lip glosses usually come in either a small pot or in a tube with a wand.
Frost
Frost lipsticks will glide on with ease as they are a fairly smooth based in texture. They are also very easy to be able to apply and actually get it right as it doesn’t show up the flaws so easily like some of the other types of lipsticks. The frost lipstick will give your lips a light coating of a nice sheer color as well as a nice sparkly look that always works well in the summer time weather. The down side being with the frost lipsticks is that you will have to keep your lippy in handy reach to touch up a lot when wearing them as these frosty ones tend wear off too easily not unlike the glosses.
Matte
Matte lipsticks have that no budge type of formula which will give you a longer wearing lipstick with a good staying power that is more so than any other lipstick. The matte lipsticks do not dry out as quickly as other lipsticks do either, the reason being for this is that they usually have been incorporated with a moisturizer to keep more moisture locked into your lips bringing you a more softer wearing feel and texture to your lips. One of the other pluses with the matte lipstick is that it will not bleed or in other words it simply just won’t run into the fine lines and the cracks around the edges of your mouth.
Cream
Out of all the different types of lipsticks available, the cream lipsticks would definitely have the greatest amount of moisturizers in them giving you not only the most wonderful feeling on your lips, but the most creamiest feeling as well. The cream lipsticks will also keep your lips feeling really soft and super moist as these lipsticks don’t dry out as quick as what the other lipsticks have been known to do. The only real down side with these lipsticks is probably the fact that you will need to touch up more often as the creams simply don’t have the staying power that the matte lipsticks tend to have.
