Lip balms (guards) are ideal to prevent dryness of the lips and protect against the elements.
These recipes are simple and effective. You can make these balms or give you a 100% natural.
The procedure for all recipes is the same:
Make sure you have all the ingredients and a clean, dry storage ointments.
General Instructions
- The first step is to melt the solid ingredients. This is done in the microwave or double boiler. Put in the microwave wax and coconut oil (whether this solid) for 1 minute, if you need more time to put a few more seconds that this liquid, avoid overheating.
- Then mix with liquid oils or extracts
- Pour into jars, cool and wait to close and save the bottles. Duran until one year
Lip Balm: Vanilla and coconut
- 1 tablespoon beeswax
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 capsule of vitamin E
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract or mint
- Optional: a drop of food coloring
Lip Balm: Coconut and Almond
- 1 ½ teaspoon coconut oil
- ½ teaspoon of castor oil
- ½ teaspoon almond oil
- One capsule of vitamin E
Lip Balm: Coco choco
- 1 tablespoon cocoa butter
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- One capsule of vitamin E
- 1 teaspoon crushed chocolate
