Permanent Tint
Just like darker shades, your colorist can blend a red shade to suit your complexion. Red tints fade quickly, so expect to have your hair colored on a more regular basis.

Foils
Red hair looks beautiful with lightly bleached highlights (think Nicole Kidman) or dark brown low lights. To create this effect, foils are strategically placed around the crown and parting after the hair has already been tinted with a deeper shade of red.

Semi Permanent
Massaged through the hair, this treatment provides just a hint of red that will fade with each shampoo. A great way to experiment.

MAINTAINING RED HAIR

• Red hair is high maintenance. Notorious for fading, it’s affected by chlorine, copper in tap water. sunshine and heat. Apart from using good color care products, you must be very careful with everyday activities. Avoid blow drying and always wear a swimming cap in chlorinated water. Don’t forget to wear a hat in the sun.
• To avoid damage, use a wide toothed comb on wet hair and a soft, natural bristle brush when hair is dry.

CAN I DYE IT AT HOME?
Red is a specific color and you should consider your wardrobe, make up and life style before making the change. It is a good idea to try on a red wig in a similar style to your own, to see if you like the effect, If you decide to experiment at home, there are some excellent semi permanent rinses and shampoos available that won’t permanently change or damage your hair. Do it yourself products can be risky, but provided you follow directions, the results can be great.
