To find out if the product has parabens, you should look at the list of ingredients and recognize some as methylparaben, propylparaben or butylparaben all ends with “paraben” which makes them easy to detect. Usually in a products using more than one paraben.
The parabens are used in lubricants as preservatives and prevent microbial growth in addition to the lubricant, a longer life. Parabens are known to cause allergic reactions but the levels found in these products are very low and below the highest levels allowed, so that t he European Union has some restrictions but parabens are still considered safe low concentrations.

However, there have been studies that raise questions, since parabens have been found in the tissue of the breast cancer tumors, raising questions about whether parabens may be linked to cancer and estrogenic effects of parabens can cause problems in the endocrine system, leading to events such as reduced sperm and increased testicular, breast and ovary in addition to that parabens accelerate aging of the skin.
