What to consider when we’re on a diet

Probably not the first time you try to lose weight. You’ve tried but have not found a durable solution. The main reason is that most diets are not realistic. Aim to reduce drastically the amount of calories you consume, skipping our favorite foods. Undoubtedly, the best way to lose weight is by following a flexible plan that suits our lifestyle.
The important thing is to go 1 or 3 meals and 2 snacks each day. Try to consume 2 to 3 servings of lean protein, 3 servings of calcium and 3 to 5 servings of grains. Each meal should include at least one fruit or vegetable.
Focus on foods that fill you up. That is, those that contain large amounts of water that is good sources of protein and fiber. Soups, fruits and vegetables are not only low calorie foods but also take up much space in our stomach.
Lose your fears to consume fats and carbohydrates. These not only make your meals taste better but can also help you lose weight. That’s because they give us the feeling of being satisfied. They also give your body the energy it needs to stay active all day. Just make sure you choose the right foods: fruits, vegetables and whole grains and healthy fats (nuts, avocados, olives, oily fish and olive and canola).
Fresh foods are not only healthier but also taste better, so you can satisfy your palate quickly. It is less likely to overdo it in fresh! Moreover, being low in sodium retain less water. Anyway, if you choose products packed read the ingredient list and make sure you recognize most of them.
