Why kids hate vegetables?

According to a study by scientists at the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia, there is a gene, called TAS2R38, responsible for the aversion of the smallest to bitter tastes. We all have these genes, which come in two versions: one is more sensitive to bitter tastes than the other. If sensitive genes prevail, then we do not like too much the plant .

This study looked at 143 children with their mothers and concluded that over 79% of children had two copies of that gene. To the surprise of experts, the presence of this gene TAS2R38 has a great impact on children’s food preferences. Therefore, parents, is so difficult to get kids to sympathize with a plate of vegetables .
